we are glo

WE BELIEVE.

We believe the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). We desire to reach the next generation for Christ and raise up young people that love God.

WE WIN.

We believe in the value of a soul. He who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). As God’s grace reaches more and more people, God will receive more and more glory (1 Corinthians 4:15).

WE DISCIPLE.

Jesus said to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18). Our mission is nothing less.

ABOUT US

We are the Cal Poly service of Mercy Church in San Luis Obispo, California. We love to worship Jesus and desire to see His glory spread throughout the earth. We believe there is no other gospel than that Christ died for our sins, that he was buried and that he rose again according to the scriptures! Our message is centered on the cross, the power of the blood of Jesus and the grace of our Father in Heaven.

Mercy Church is a cell group based church. Cells in the body are the smallest unit of life. Cells are always multiplying in order to help the body grow, function properly and stay healthy. The cell groups at Mercy Church are small groups that meet throughout the week and make up the body of Christ. The purpose of cells is evangelism, character development and to multiply into more cell groups.

We believe that every Christian has the opportunity to change the world for Jesus. Through cell groups and leadership training we are committed to raising up the next generation for Christ.

Doors Thrown Open

“By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us….”

5 Truths to Observe Every Morning

Let’s admit it. Mornings are hard (yes, even for that friend we all have who claims to be a “morning person”). Some days, it may seem impossible to open your eyes, let alone to get out of bed. Most days, our first thoughts are “where am I?” or “do I really have to get up?” or “where’s my phone?”.
